Jesus has Risen! The fact that He has Risen means our faith and our hope will never be in vain.
The sting of death, the fear that our death leads to nothing - to the end of existence or more torment - has been destroyed. For those of us who receive him and put our trust in Him, we are victorious over death. We rejoice in Him!
That does not mean our hearts are not sad thinking about the people who have suddenly lost loved ones to this evil that has fallen on the world, and we feel deep concern for our Unbound family throughout the world who do not have the protections we enjoy in the US. We are also inspired by the heroic actions of the medical workers and first responders who have acted so sacrificially. We're humbled and excited because of the prayer, fasting, and repentance that is continually going on. We're joyful because there seems to be a fresh wind of the Spirit blowing and the kingdom of the Risen Lord is advancing powerfully in this time.
When Covid19 hit, and our conferences began to be postponed or canceled, we felt an urgency to respond. Neal shared that his heart cried, "The Kingdom of God is advancing! What are we going to do to serve Him in this day?" He felt the conviction that we were part of His army that would not allow this evil to prevail.
When our trip to Dubai was canceled, Neal called the leaders from India who arranged the conference. We were looking for any door to make this cancelation a victory and not a defeat. Within a week we had planned to do a Webinar sponsored by Jesus Youth International. They would begin with worship songs, then Neal would present a 30-minute overview of the Unbound Model and focus on the keys in response to fear, loneliness, and isolation. They provided amazing Unbound testimonies from two of their leaders, and Matt and Neal answered questions. Thousands of people joined. In the first 24 hours, there were over 3000 views from many countries including India, Kuwait, UAE, Malaysia, Pakistan, Delhi, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, Ireland, the UK, and beyond. Our mission is to bring the Five Keys of Unbound to the whole church throughout the world. God was opening doors for this to happen more rapidly than we imagined.
Not long after, we held an online Global Prayer Meeting with Unbound leaders from Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. We interceded for the nations, for workers, the elderly, the poor, and for an end to the Coronavirus. This was a most powerful prayer meeting.
