This season has brought many deep and powerful opportunities for ministry in a variety of settings. We are so grateful for the chance to impact the lives of so many people in different circumstances.
In October, I spent a weekend leading a retreat with the Servants of Christ Jesus, a religious order involving priests, brothers, and also lay people. About 40 people attended in the mountains of Colorado, and I had many opportunities to minister to servants who spend their lives serving others by teaching, doing charitable work, and other ministries. I was also able to train them in the Unbound model. They were very grateful for the time I spent with them and many of them are already seeing great fruit while using Unbound in their ministries.
In November, Neal and I led an Unbound Priest and Deacon's Retreat for the Diocese of Little Rock, Arkansas. Over four days we ministered to the priests and deacons, teaching them how to use the Five Keys in their ministry. For the priests especially, it was helpful for them to learn how to use the Keys in the Sacrament of Confession to help people encounter the Lord and experience greater freedom. The diocese is training three teams of lay people to be able to serve with Unbound Ministry in the diocese - praise God!
Later that month, we hosted our annual fall Unbound Conference here in the Philadelphia area at Victory Church in Audubon. It was really well attended, around 200 people from many different church backgrounds - we had one church from New Jersey that brought all of their pastors and elders! We had our dear friends from the Missionaries of Charity and some Franciscans as well. The ministry sessions were very deep and powerful. In the coming months we will continue to minister to everyone from the conference that didn't receive a full session.
Last week, I led an Unbound Retreat at a maximum security prison here in Pennsylvania. We had about 50 men in attendance, and I brought a team of four men with me to minister to them. Again, the ministry sessions were powerful. One of the men, after his session, looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, "you have no idea what this means to me." The healing and freedom was palpable in the hearts of those who received prayer.
Below are some statistics about our ministry activities that may interest you. These numbers do not include the thousands of people who are being served by our trained teams around the world.
