My experience with an Unbound Freedom in Christ Seminar changed my life forever. It has introduced me to a freedom and joy that is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. When I could name what was buried deep in my heart - so I could take responsibility and learn how to break the patterns that have held me hostage and how I closed the door on God's grace. I had been stuck. Now, I am more than "unstuck." It brought me to believe that God truly used the circumstances in my life - the brokenness, all of it, along with all the pain - for me to see the true condition of my heart - and I no longer needed to be ashamed...God's grace had opened a new door for me. I just needed to walk through that liminal space to freedom.
Wow! What a gift to be a small part of God's plan to change lives forever. We didn't know when things began to shut down in March that the Lord would so faithfully open doors for us to share the message of Freedom in Christ. Yet, in many ways, we've been busier than ever!
Neal has been an online presence at several Unbound retreats based in Northern Virginia, while Matt has done the same at an online Facebook study group based in the UK.
Recently, we hosted a webinar on "Sharing Unbound Virtually" where a panel of leaders shared various ways that they are hosting retreats, conferences, and ministry sessions online. This week Matt presented the Five Keys to the Youth and Young Adult Ministers of Palm Beach FL, and both Matt and Jenn shared the Five Keys through their Masterclass "The Healing Needed for your Marriage to Thrive" for the Joyful Ever After Marriage Summit.
Yes, a lot has changed for so many of us since the beginning of quarantines, stay-at-home orders, and the need to wear face masks in public. Right before Pentecost, everything had changed for the disciples through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Now the Lord was appearing to them and teaching them about the Kingdom of God. (Acts 1) They needed to understand the Kingdom from this side of the resurrection. Soon He would ascend into heaven, leaving them as they waited for the Promise of the Father. Pentecost would enable them to understand afresh what he taught them, and they would receive the power to become His witnesses.
May this be our story as well. May we continue to be instructed by Him at this challenging time for the mighty wind of the Spirit is lifting us out of our isolation and giving us power and opportunity to be his witnesses and bring hope to those who so long to live a life changed forever!
