Last weekend, I witnessed something beautiful.
I had the privilege of helping to bring an Unbound One Day Conference at St. Patrick Church in Brighton, Michigan, home to Encounter Ministries, a global school that equips believers to walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I was joined by our incredible Executive Director, Matt Lozano whose gifts for teaching and empowering people were evident throughout the conference.
Our host, Emily Jorgenson, leads a Walking with Purpose group of 145 women and together they had discerned that it was time to bring Unbound to their parish. On Friday night, we gathered with about 30 leaders, some seasoned in ministry and others brand new and hungry to learn. There was expectancy in the room as we answered questions and modeled an Unbound session.
On Saturday, more than 250 people filled the church, with 50 registering that very morning! Many had never heard of Unbound before and by the end of the day, they had experienced the Five Keys, received prayer in a safe and loving setting, and were equipped to walk in greater freedom themselves. We prayed for nearly everyone who came forward, and teams stayed long after the conference ended to minister to those still waiting.
This is why we go.
This is why we train.
This is why partnerships matter.
Because of the generosity of our partners, leaders are equipped, parishes are strengthened, and individuals encounter Jesus in life-changing ways.
